Please do not ask me why. I do not know why I am depressed. The best thing you can do to help me during my depressive episodes are to do the following:
- Give me space.
- Try not to ask me several questions about why I am depressed.
- Encourage me.
- Allow me to express how I am feeling.
- Let me cry.
- Comfort me.
- Share positive memories we have together.
- Try to understand.
- Be there for me when I need you.
